Solo exhibition at the Godfrey Dean Gallery of the series of watercolors by Canadian artist Brenda Schmidt entitled Metamorphosis: The Effects of Isolation

I worked on this series of watercolor paintings for about four years as I explored the ways in which varying degrees of isolation affect an individual. Paintings from this series received awards in art shows in Thompson, Manitoba and in Nipawin, Saskatchewan where a group of five of the paintings was awarded Best of Show and went on to the Saskatchewan Showcase of the Arts in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. The entire series was displayed in month long solo exhibitions which were held in the Godrey Dean Gallery in Yorkton, Saskatchewan, the Gallery on the Roof in Regina, Saskatchewan, and in the Leaf Rapids National Exhibition Centre in Leaf Rapids, Manitoba.
